Personal Developmemt: “Setting an appointment with your inner self ”

Planning our week in order to manage completing as many tasks as possible, while rushing from one meeting to another is a skill that many of us have learned to master. We have become incredibly efficient in administering our professional lives. This efficiency derives from planning, scheduling and setting proper goals aligned with our assessment of time and effort.

Living in a fast paced world it is more than likely that we lose sight of some of our missions. However, it seems that we tend to forget about our own personal purpose and goals.

Have you ever wondered when and why exactly you lost consciousness of your childhood dreams? Travelling back to a time, where you were able to come up with any idea of who you wanted to be when you grow up without any limitations.

It is about time that we start setting appointments with ourselves. Making time for going inward to ask ourselves what exactly it is we are longing for and dreaming about personally. Let’s start reminding ourselves that we are already capable of pulling the strings, we just need to shift the focus back on our most heartfelt desires.

We need to review how to incorporate planning, scheduling and goal setting into our private life. The accomplished life as a grownup we have been dreaming about as kids.

Let’s journal our way back to our inner selves, the part of us that believes in a world full of possibilities, which are out there just waiting to become our reality. By making use of the skillset we already use to structure our professional lives, we can learn how to strive and make our dreams come true. This is how we achieve to actually be the person we wanted to become when we were little.

Christmas Roast Butternut Squash

A perfect vegetarian option at your Christmas table!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 butternut pumpkin (peeled & sliced 3/4 through)
  • Olive Oil
  • Honey
  • Nutmeg
  • Salt
  • 1 Pomegranate
  • Parsley, 2 tbsp chopped.
  • Nutmeg, 1/4 teaspoon or to taste.
  • Crushed walnuts 1/4 cup.
  • Goats cheese

Directions:

  • Slice butternut pumpkin 3/4 of the way through in very fine segments (approx 5mm)
  • Coat with: Olive oil, honey & nutmeg & salt and Bake for 30 minutes at 200 degrees.
  • Combine the fresh pomegranate, parsley, crushed walnuts & olive oil and scatter on top of the pumpkin.
  • Garnish with crumbled goats cheese & a drizzle of honey.
  • Serve hot!

The challenge of the handstand pose lies in maintaining alignment of your spine and legs, here gravity works against you. We love it as this particular inversion challenges the mind as well as the body

When starting out, it is best practiced against a wall, a chair or a partner for support!
